From Commerce to Code: A Story of Reinvention

I started with zero CS and a commerce degree. Here's how curiosity, late nights, and stubbornness turned into a full-stack career.

I have no computer science degree. No bootcamp certificate from a big name. What I have is a commerce degree, a late-night curiosity, and a stubborn refusal to give up on something once it caught my attention.

When I first opened a text editor, nothing made sense. Selectors, semicolons, parentheses - it looked like another language entirely. But I liked the feeling of making something appear on screen, so I kept going.

The first commit

My first real project was ugly. Tables for layout, inline styles everywhere, and JavaScript that worked by accident. But it worked. And that moment - watching something I built actually run - is what sold me.

What I learned along the way

Today I build full-stack products professionally. The commerce background I once saw as a disadvantage turned out to be an advantage - I think about products, customers, and business value, not just code.

Enjoyed this?

Let's build something meaningful together.
